The Gzip package contains programs for compressing and decompressing files.

6.13.1. Installation of Gzip

Setup configure so it can use cross-compiled tools:

cp -v configure{,.orig}
sed -e "s@nm conftest@${CLFS_TARGET}-&@" configure.orig > configure

Prepare Gzip for compilation:

./configure --prefix=/tools \
    --build=${CLFS_HOST} --host=${CLFS_TARGET}

Compile the package:

make

Install the package:

make install
